personal bio

I’m a socially awkward 20-year-old student with the hope to one day become an author but with the more realistic goal to teach English at secondary school in my home country the Netherlands.

My favourite poems are Howl by Ginsberg and Lady Lazarus by Sylvia Plath.

I enjoy writing characters who have some kind of mental hiccup in contrast with stable characters in my stories.

I am also a lesbian and very out in the open about it with the full support of my father and sister (who recently threatened to set me up with a girl in her class) and my mother copes by ignoring the fact that if I’ll marry it will be with a gal.

notable events in 2007

I finished my first year at university with success and gained full credit. I have overcome some huge obstacles in my social life and have made some real friends.

favorite quote

“Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: you don’t give up.” – Anne Lamott

Awww, your puppy is so cute! I always said that pets do have a certain resemblance to their owners you two are poster children for the word “cute”

Don’t worry about your social life… in the end all you really need are two or three awesome friends who would take bullets for you instead of a lot of friends who leave you when you really need it (I learned this the hard way).
