personal bio

Let’s see. I live in New Mexico (really the middle of nowhere), have 1 brother, 2 dogs, parrot. My favorite color is red, I love German food and chocolate (but, then again, who doesn’t?). Go to a private high school with only three students (part of a larger school, before you ask). I’m 15 years old, have no social life whatsoever, and hate having teachers who assign homework. If you have anything else you’d like to know by invading my privacy just post it below!

favourite tv show

America’s Next Top Model, The Apprentice, CSI (all three), My Wife and Kids, The Simpsons, Stargate (atlantis and sg-1), MacGuyver (sp?), and all Star Trek series. There are probably more but I can’t seem to remember them all!

notable events in 2006

Gave up trying to fit in (trust me, it’s better if you just be yourself!)

Pets, Open For Business (yes, I did buy that ep. DON’T laught)

favorite quote

“Here’s a llama, there’s a llama, and another little llama, fuzzy llama, funny llama, llama, llama duck…” excerp from the “Llama Song”!

“If life gives you lemons, throw them back!”

“If you can’t find a goat, blame a friend.”

Congratulations on getting my quote right! You’re the only one so far…

Ok, so… about the castle. Honestly, I haven’t had time to sit down and play the sims in ages. My life is pretty darn hectic right now, and it’s going to be for a while. I’m really sorry you guys have to keep on waiting for updates, but I’m afraid that’s just how it’s going to have to be for now. Sorry…

Haha wow, this was a pretty long post, I must say.

jhd, mine is longer than yours (sorry, couldn’t resist)
Max, first off “hello!”
Why do you actually despise geeks, I mean as Delphy calls himself a geek this means you despise him, too??? BTW, it seems to me that our site-admin geek is able to dress himself on his own so your theory seems to need some improvements. If you don’t believe me check the photos on Delphy’s site. Always a dressed Delphy
And what do you do if someone you just met and like suddenly seems to be a geek or a nerd (both should be dressed so how do you keep them seperated now?) – will you stop liking and start despising this one because that’s the way you do?
As I’m older than you I can tell you one thing: there are other reasons why someone “earns” to be despised for than being curious and wanting to go on learning (stop at a certain point and block everything would be one reason) but I guess you think I’m one of those stupid “dressed ones” and now you despise me, too?
Curious, what exactly is this German food you love? Probably it’s different to German food German eat (like Chinese food in China and Chinese food in a Chinese restaurant). Well, I love my mom’s Pfannkuchen (slightly different to American pancakes), Spaghetti.. no, not German, Pizza..not German, Döner… argh, not German neither. OK, German food I love: hmm, barbequed makarel isn’t German only food, Rouladen aren’t neither, Grünkohl with Pinkel is a food you can only eat 1-2 times a year (around winter), Spätzle taste too similar to Spaghetti (well, they feel different ) and Schupfnudeln are like fried Gnocchi, both isn’t spectacular, ehm, what is actually German German food? Seems like you can help me out and we’ll see how German the food is you love
BTW, the chocolate from Belgium, Switzerland and Italian nougat is phantastic, too. Yummi!

Ok, I guess I should eliminate the part about “geeks”. No, I don’t despise them, and apologize to those whose feelings might have been hurt. So sorry, again. No, I don’t despise them. Just people who are being generally annoying to me (my brother is number 1 on the list, :p)

About german food. Lets see. My grandmother came from Germany, and I only know her traditional dishes. We have herring salad every christmas, potatoe dumplings every thanksgiving and christmas, flat dessert pancakes (also in dinner kinds), and there are others, but I have forgotten.

Ciao,
M

Your decision was wise.
I think brothers are always no. 1 on the list Especially the little ones (and I guess they think the same about sisters, esp. older ones Siblings in general, though this doesn’t prevent you from loving them, at least sometimes).
The “traditional German Christmas food” (that’s btw the evening of the 24th, when we get our presents) is potato salad with bockwurst On 25th or 26th many families have a “Christmas goose”. Herring salad seems to be a family tradition Funny, we’ve had potato dumplings yesterday, too – and I think they taste like flavorless gummy sticky slime – only ok with lots of gravy You have forgotten the food you love??? Tztztz… :p

We always go to our oma’s house for christmas eve. That’s when we get our presents from her, then we have a traditional dinner, lots of meat, herring salad. Then we have christmas morning at our house, with a big dinner later. I used to hate the potato dumplings, but they have “grown” on me. (not literally) We also have red cabbage (not saurkraut), and others. I just get so full from those big dinners!

Ciao,
M

Red cabbage? Rotkohl! Yummi! Now you can surprise your Oma (nouns are written with capitals in German ) with calling the food German Sauerkraut belongs more to “winter food” and many children don’t like it but you American like it on hod dogs, right?
When I was little the “Christkind” came instead of Santa (makes sense, it’s his birthday ) and brought the presents on Christmas Eve. Before we could open them we sang christmas songs and did some “torturing” family stuff first. Afterwards unpacking and finally playtime! Later on (around 6pm) we’ve had the potato salad and quickly back playing with the presents. Now Santa, the “Weihnachtsmann” comes to bring the presents to kids.
These holidays always include big dinners… well, we survived it once more, didn’t we?
What do you do on New Year’s Eve? In Germany everybody has to watch at least once “Dinner for One” (a great sketch from the 1960s, even in English) and many do “lead pouring” on parties at home which seems to be a tradition in German speaking area (the lead is melted and then poured into cold water. Your future for the new year is then read from the shapes formed in the water in much the same way as reading shapes in tea leaves.) Of course it’s getting loud and colorful at midnight
American way?

I am loving all of your stories! On New Year’s we usually watch movies past midnight, then go to bed and wake up late. New York, Las Vegas, Miami, and virtually any other big city in the US gets crazy on new year’s. And yes, we did survive Christmas once again!
