about the nick. well, i bought the sims2 more or less out of boredom, standing in the line waiting to pay for the dvd´s i found me. there was a display with the sims2, i had read some pretty good reviews and thought “let´s see what the fuzz is about”.
first thing i tried in ts2 to make a real ugly, stupid, lazy and unlikeable character to see if this is possible. when asked for a name for this sim i went “what the heck, something stupid that fits him” – “bombo” it was. ![]()
later when i wanted to download some things from mts2 i was asked to open an account. once more i went “what the heck! let me in!” and punched in bombo. later i found out that it was nice to post and get a bit involved (mostly in the chatrooms) – but didn´t change the nick in time, so now it´s kinda stuck. ![]()

annapic2 • 10 Nov 2006 @ 20:51 GMT

bombo • 10 Nov 2006 @ 21:11 GMT
Nooo! I remember the old, yearbook thing where you posted yourself with this long hair and then again with short hair. You look absolutely rugged and [incredibly] attractive here. We were all shocked when you cut your hair. laughs
elvendragon • 11 Nov 2006 @ 19:11 GMT
Hejsa George!You look great !
(Good luck learning the language! lol)
Btw are you Irish?
corvidophile2 • 11 Nov 2006 @ 22:37 GMT

bombo • 12 Nov 2006 @ 11:01 GMT
Come on, man …
This photo is at least 7 years old … XD
KKai • 13 Nov 2006 @ 01:33 GMT
oh I like the long hair. You definitely are a good looking man.
chobitz • 13 Nov 2006 @ 15:18 GMT
Guys with long hair rock. Won’t you grow it back
?
khakido • 13 Nov 2006 @ 15:28 GMT
my gf would highly appreciate it, if i would grow it back.
but well, i had to cut it for my last jobs in order not to scare the people away – depends on my next job, if i can grow it back. i liked long hair much better as well – much more fun headbanging with long hair.
maybe kkai is right….i should upload a current picture.
bombo • 14 Nov 2006 @ 09:56 GMT

I usually just suggest (yes suggest) what I think is the best opinion, and others people or the receivers should always make their own decision.
And yes I can be wrong and have been wrong a few times, so I had to admit my mistakes and then update my database (in my head).
KKai • 16 Nov 2006 @ 23:05 GMT
that handbag is broken down, I used that one because I needed a lot of space to put my thesis books in there (books I wrote, yay … but not published .. yay)
annapic2 • 17 Nov 2006 @ 08:08 GMT
Thanks for your comment on my picture
. I’m glad it seems not be that horrible. That feeds my little ego
.
Just one question concerning your second comment: Is “hypnotizing” good or bad when it comes to eyes?
Schneckchen • 17 Nov 2006 @ 19:20 GMT
Then…thank you very much

bombo • 23 Nov 2006 @ 10:06 GMT
Ehi, thank you for “you do a good job”! However, every PC is a world on its own, so, different suggestions are always useful

Vaalyah • 23 Nov 2006 @ 10:21 GMT

Vaalyah • 24 Nov 2006 @ 08:28 GMT
I think I see people talkig behind my back *waging fingers … (Just Kidding
)
I think the yearbook is rather informal.
People are freely to say anything, basically.
And, we (okay, okay mainly I) are carried away a bit, but have a good time talking and knowing other people whom we would not have chance to know/talk to, otherwise.
KKai • 24 Nov 2006 @ 22:32 GMT
I read somewhere between the comments that you’re austrian
I’m going to Wienna tommorow, please, please tell me, how do you say ” how much does this cost?” Lol, and i have deutsch in school and Germans are practically my neighbours and I still can’t say a dang thing in german, hahahaha

Yeah …
How did you get stuck with the name, bombo? XD
I noticed that you have lots room to fill under personal bio. You can tell us your long story there.
KKai • 6 Dec 2006 @ 18:57 GMT
hmmm… kkai, you´re brilliant.
i really didn´t get that idea so far.. *slaps his forehead. ok, updated.
bombo • 8 Dec 2006 @ 11:53 GMT
lol …
I think like many people, I hate the required registration. If I have to register to access a website, I would most likely just leave. However after a few weeks of downloading, I decided to register and join the chat.
Anyways, what does bombo mean?
Never heard it was used in the US.
(Btw, I just learned that it could be either Spanish or Italian.)
KKai • 9 Dec 2006 @ 02:03 GMT
doesn´t mean anything to my knowledge.
and i don´t think this name exists for anything – just googled it for the first time and much to my surprise, there is such a thing. it´s a big drum.
bombo • 10 Dec 2006 @ 15:42 GMT

I like all your pictures
Hello fellow simmer
Nice story on Bombo. I chose xts due to XTremelySimmed back when windows xp came out. I wanted initials to originally make me seem genderless as in real life it can be an issue.
Well, gotta get alot done, have a good one!!
Xts
ps. I played the bombos on my birthday.. first time I played them and I got stage fright lol
XTS • 13 Dec 2006 @ 00:23 GMT
Just for the sake of… well, poking around in a discussion that is not mine
Bombo in italian is a bug, a sort of big bee, while the bug drum is called Bongo! Ehi, you are speaking with a drummer ;P
Vaalyah • 13 Dec 2006 @ 14:09 GMT
ok, i´m confused meanwhile. not so much about this *#%&$!! nick i gave myself, more about the effortless trying of keeping track of conversations spread all over the yearbook…
bombo • 13 Dec 2006 @ 15:13 GMT
Vaalyah • 14 Dec 2006 @ 12:42 GMT
Hi ya! yes I saw that book by Stephen King on sale at Barnes and Noble. It looked like a new style of writing but looked really good. The Stand I own on DVD
and have watched it several times (as long as it is!) Dark Tower Cyclus I guess I missed! As for those Munsters, I only made Herman and Lily and you are right, the daughter was the only one who was “normal” but she wanted to be like them. lol I saw the show about a month ago. Herman’s laugh is hilarious. They get in alot of trouble though, him and grandpa. haha Did I mess up on “favorite tv shows”? I’m confused now. haha
Thanks for writing me back.. Good to hear from you!
XTS (le Okie)
XTS • 16 Dec 2006 @ 00:08 GMT
I try to bring the conversation of ours to your page. Seems more likely you’ll check here than my page.
The Dark Tower sounds immensely enticing. He has not turned it into a movie? Lately I’ve had a bit of trouble pulling myself away from World of Warcraft, especially since I got my character to level 35 finally!! If you ever wanna try it out, they have a free trial there on their page. During this time of year there are snowball fights on there. I think EA should consider snowball fights for sims!
Thanks for the information on Dark Tower. After Christmas maybe I’ll have some money left to go get it. Series right?
Stay in touch!!
XTS the Okie
XTS • 19 Dec 2006 @ 00:01 GMT
LOL, I love your nick explaination!!
ceesims • 19 Dec 2006 @ 02:20 GMT
hey xts.
hm, with your line of argumentation (more likely to check the own page) i should write a reply on your page.
this is confusing…
anyway: dark tower movie – not likely to be made a movie of – you´ll know why, when you read it.
ok, with todays computergraphics it would be possible, but it would eb definately an adult movie, and you can´t get a big budget if you´re not doing a pg-13…
anyways, wouldn´t be possible to squeeze 7 books into maybe 2 1/2 hours or so.
i´ll pass on WoW, it´s a big timesnatcher and i prefer “real” roleplaying games – i´m old fashioned when it comes to fantasy and how to play it
and yes, there will be snowball fights in the next expansion pack for the sims2 – you can see some screenshots of that in the forum here (sims2chat/in season).
bombo • 19 Dec 2006 @ 08:38 GMT
Ah I see.. Well one can hope for a movie
Wow, I do medium RP with my character. I also focus on leveling up and well rounding her abilities (much as I’ve learned how to). Hopefully the Sims 2 will include the ability to knock a person down with the snowball!! I’d love to tag that nanny! Of course the repo man! There is a text based RP game I heard about, unfortunately I forgot the name of it. Is that what you meant?
Well, glad I found the chat, almost didn’t check here. I just checked my page and started to leave and though.. what the hey.. Why not?
Take care and have a good one.
Merry Christmas (sorry if we do not share this belief and no disrespect intended!)
XTS
It’s an incentive!
ps. think I might be able to get Dark Tower, come to find out my late husband was working on that when he passed so maybe I can finish it “for him” ?
XTS • 20 Dec 2006 @ 23:18 GMT
oh, yeah – merry christmas to you too – uhm, why shouldn´t we share the same beliefs…ok, i´m an atheist (how did you know that?
), but i still wrap my gifts for christmas as well.
and with old fashioned roleplaying i ment pen and paper in common – played tons of that stuff – d&d, call of cthulhu, vampire the maskerade, long list to be continued.
oh…i´m sorry to hear about that your husband passed away.
bombo • 21 Dec 2006 @ 17:06 GMT
Thanks for your sympathy..
He passed in 1998 of cancer, I began dating again in 2000 and I tell you what! I had no idea the dating game was going to be crazier than it had before!! lol
Some people are offended at a religious comment when they do not have the same beliefs. Just covering my bases.
Pen and paper RP’ing.. wow, you are OLD…. I mean old fashioned. lol
Best to you and yours!!
Xts The Okie!
XTS • 21 Dec 2006 @ 23:27 GMT
