personal bio

I’ve been a stay home parent since 1997 but I used to be a teacher. I also worked in customer service so if you do that as a job, my condolences.
I’ve been married since 1992—my husband is British born but now is an American citizen. We have a son who is in the pic with me.
I’m an Anglophile, know tons about British History and lived in England for a year.
I enjoy Simming, nature and the simple life though I love technology. We plan on moving somewhere more rural in the next year or so.

favourite tv show

Eastenders, Gilmore Girls, Fraiser

cinnamon_gurl • 11 Nov 2006 @ 01:12 GMT

I don’t even know what my screenname means. My name was originally SLPunkWannabe but when I moved into the IRC channel I adopted the name DameSporkalot and eventually had Delphy change it so it matched on the site. I just like sporks… and stuff…

DameSporkalot • 11 Nov 2006 @ 03:19 GMT

I agree with the comment that your son looks like you, hehe. I love the background in that picture, the colour of that lake(?) is amazing! Hey from England =]

Vicci • 11 Nov 2006 @ 12:05 GMT

Hello! What a pretty picture __ I agree, the boy resembles you a lot! Hopefully I’m not wrong in asking if he’s your son..?
I lived in America for a while but was happy to move back to England – no offence to any Americans! It’s just..home, for me. I’m glad people are interested in England; it has such a rich history. My American friends all called it ‘quaint’

schuldig_seiben • 11 Nov 2006 @ 22:02 GMT

Great to see the face behind the name! Hope everything is going well for you, still enjoying your creations. :) How weird, my hubby is British as well and now lives in America. I have learned a lot about England and it’s history as well. Eventually we plan to move there I think. Very cool similarities there hehe. :)

lucentgem • 12 Nov 2006 @ 20:18 GMT

Wow, Lucent, I didn’t check here before signing your page..lol..yeah, England is amazing. You will love it, especially the sarcastic wit.

HCAC • 13 Nov 2006 @ 02:30 GMT

nerina • 13 Nov 2006 @ 07:26 GMT

I don’t know about British history but I love Scottish history, especially the bits where we kick English butts!
I can’t believe you watch Eastenders!

romyhorse • 14 Nov 2006 @ 16:51 GMT

I love Eastenders, though we are 5 years behind the storyline in England.

HCAC • 15 Nov 2006 @ 01:00 GMT

“I also worked in customer service so if you do that as a job, my condolences”

The trick is GARLIC, it keeps those annoying Customers at bay, plus the Boss stays away too!
